No respect shown for national anthem

In anticipation of seeing the beautiful Oklahoma River and boat facilities, we watched “American Idol” on Jan. 31 on Fox. We looked forward to seeing Oklahoma talent. On one of the performances we were appalled to see a rendition of the national anthem by a person from Tulsa. At no time during this performance did the performer or judges show respect for the anthem. Instead, the judges simply made a mockery of this event by laughing through the entire performance and also sending her on to Hollywood. We will never watch “American Idol” again.
