LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville has announced that junior college defensive end Trevon Young will enroll next month at the school after signing a national letter of intent to play for the 16th-ranked Cardinals.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Young played one season for Iowa Western, earning NJCCA second team All-American honors after helping the third-ranked Reivers finish 11-1 and win the Graphic Edge Bowl. Iowa Western's defense ranked fifth overall and fourth in scoring.

Young, Louisville's first 2014 signee, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
