LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Asya Bussie scored 19 points and Taylor Palmer added 17 as No. 18 West Virginia handed Texas Tech its second straight loss against a ranked opponent, 70-51 on Wednesday.

Bussie made 11 of 13 free throws and grabbed nine rebounds for West Virginia (17-2, 6-1 Big 12). Palmer came off the bench to hit 4 of 7 shots from beyond the arc. Christal Caldwell chipped in with 10 points, which put her over the 1,000 point mark for her career.

It was the start of a two-game Texas road trip for the Mountaineers, who are now 7-0 away from home this season.

It was the second of four consecutive Top 25 games for Texas Tech. The Lady Raiders lost to No. 8 Oklahoma State last Saturday, and have No. 20 Iowa State and No. 12 Baylor up next.
