Do you have the best workplace in Oklahoma? We want to know.
Later this year, The Oklahoman will publish a report on the Top Workplaces in Oklahoma. And who knows a company better than its employees?
We are looking to recognize organizations big and small, from retailers to energy tycoons to restaurants to Fortune 500 companies. Better yet, we want to know what makes the business successful.
Private companies, public companies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies qualify, as long as there are at least 35 employees.
Nominations are not limited to the Oklahoma City metro. All companies or organizations in Oklahoma are welcome to send in a nomination.
Any employee, CEO on down, can make a nomination. Participation is free, and every organization that takes part will receive feedback about its application.
Oklahoma has reason to boast about its strong companies and desirable work environments. In Fortune magazine's latest rankings of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Chesapeake Energy and Devon Energy were in the top 50, and QuikTrip followed close behind, at 66. But more great companies are out there. We want to know who they are.
Workplace Dynamics, The Oklahoman's research partner for the project, has worked with more than 35 major metropolitan newspapers to conduct Top Workplace surveys. In 2012, it surveyed nearly 2 million employees.
In the next few months, The Oklahoman and Workplace Dynamics will collect the nominations and then work with employers to conduct comprehensive surveys of employees.
From there, employers with the highest scores will be compiled into a list for the publication. Results will be announced in December.
To make a nomination, go to www.oklahoman.com/nominate or call 708-6151 by July 26.
