Nordstrom Rack, HomeGoods opening this year in OKC, Norman

HomeGoods LogoIf  you missed the news, Nordstrom Rack will open its first store in the state in Oklahoma City this fall.  And HomeGoods will open later this year in Norman.

The 34,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack will open in the former Linens ‘n Things at Belle Isle Station, near Northwest Highway and Classen Boulevard.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price division of Nordstrom. It carries clearance merchandise and made for Nordstrom Rack items from brands like Hugo Boss, Kate Spade and Trina Turk, said Megan Garvey, a spokeswoman for Nordstrom. Merchandise will include clothing and accessories for women, men and children, reports The Oklahoman.

HomeGoods will open  next to Academy Sports in the University North Park shopping center on 24th Avenue Northwest in Norman.  HomeGood is a furniture and home decor retailer owned by The TJX Companies, which also operates T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s.

Here’s hoping the HomeGoods store in Norman is as good as the one in Irving, Texas, and the two that I recently visited in Kansas City, Mo. All three of those stores are wonderful, so full of decor, bedding,  kitchen, garden, furniture, lamps, mirrors, gifts and seasonal items.
