Norman academic team qualifies for national tournament

NORMANNorman North High School’s academic team has qualified for a national tournament May 28-30 in Chicago.

The team placed third Saturday in the Oklahoma Quiz Bowl Alliance Tulsa Fall Challenge at the University of Tulsa, competing against teams from Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas, which qualifies them for the national tournament.

During the 2010 High School National Championship Tournament, Norman North will compete against 192 high school teams from around the world. The team continues its regular season. The next tournament is Nov. 17 at Norman High School.
