Norman council will meet

Members of the Norman City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for their bimonthly business meeting. The council meets in the Municipal Building's council chambers, 201 W Gray St. For a look at the agenda, go to

35 South luncheon is Wednesday

The “35 South Project” sponsored by the Norman Chamber of Commerce will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Bricktown Brewery in Oklahoma City. Lunch is $10. Don Wood, director of the Norman Economic Development Coalition, will speak about ongoing economic development projects in Norman and the newly planned Advanced Manufacturing Center and Business Park in the University North Park Addition, west of Interstate 35.

Moore library will host book sale

The annual Friends of the Moore Public Library book sale will begin Friday at the library, 225 S Howard Ave., and continue through Sunday. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. A members' preview will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Those interested in the preview can sign up for membership Thursday night.
