Roof work to begin

Beginning Thursday, Jones Avenue between Main and Gray streets will be closed to through traffic for about four weeks so the roof can be replaced on Sooner Theatre, 101 E Main St. Access to the parking lot on the west side of Jones and the alley north of Main will remain open throughout the project. Signs will direct traffic.

Traffic signal box to be replaced

Crews with the city's Traffic Control Division will replace the traffic signal control box at Lindsey Street and Jenkins Avenue on Thursday. After 9 a.m., the intersection will be controlled by a temporary four-way stop sign. Signal operation should be restored by noon.

Registration opens for summer camp

Registration is under way for Camp ClapHans, a residential summer camp for children with disabilities that opens in June at the J.D. McCarty Center, 2002 E Robinson St. The camp is for children ages 8 to 16. Deadline to register is May 24. Cost for a weekly camp session is $325.
