Schools go on break

Norman students will be out of classes Thursday and Friday for fall break. School officials remind drivers to watch out for children. Classes resume Monday.

Street projects
A public meeting about improvements to Lindsey Street, between Jenkins Avenue and the BNSF Railway tracks, will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the Municipal Building’s council chambers, 201 W Gray St.

Teacher appreciation
The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua Ave., will have Teacher Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Teachers and their families will receive free admission, and there will be giveaways. Museum educators will be on hand to visit with teachers.For information, call 325-4712.

Fall festival
Norman Regional Health System’s Fall Festival is 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at Norman Regional HealthPlex, Interstate 35 and Tecumseh Road.
