Norman church makes changes along Journey

Norman's Journey Church recently sold its east campus and expanded into southwest Oklahoma City.

“We had a decent size group coming from that area, had an opportunity to expand and took advantage of it to influence more people with the gospel,” he said.

Mitchell said for the time being, JourneyChurch.tv members in the Norman area will worship together at the church's main building at 3801 Journey Parkway. He said the church likely will expand again to other sites over the next 10 years.

The new southwest ministry site is on the southwest corner of SW 104 and Western Avenue.

Rod Conant, leader of the southwest campus, said about 500 JourneyChurch.tv members helped spread the word about the new location.

Conant said the new site includes state-of-the-art technology, a welcoming atmosphere and a core group of people who want to reach out to people living in the surrounding area.
