Swearing-in ceremonies will be Tuesday for three new city council members and a fourth member who has been serving on the council for nearly a year.

The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building's council chambers, 201 W Gray St.

Beginning two-year terms will be Greg Heiple, Ward 1; Lynne Miller, Ward 5; and Stephen Tyler Holman, Ward 7. All were elected in April.

Robert Castleberry, who represents Ward 3, will be sworn in for a full two-year term. Castleberry ran unopposed after being appointed to the seat in August when Hal Ezzell resigned.

The outgoing council members are Roger Gallagher, Ward 1; Dave Spaulding, Ward 5; and Linda Lockett, Ward 7.

The outgoing council members and new members, as well as volunteers on city commissions, will be honored at a 5 p.m. reception before the swearing-in ceremony.
