— City council members will discuss formation of an Economic Development Advisory Board in a conference set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall, 201 W Gray St.

The discussion will precede the council's regular business meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building's council chambers.

The council on June 13 approved establishment of an economic development trust authority, a public trust with broad powers to provide financial incentives for attracting quality jobs to Norman.

Council members are set up to serve as trustees of the authority. The trustees would have to vote on any project that involved public money.

Council members have said they want a trust authority advisory board to help them in the decision-making process. Criteria for the board will be discussed at the conference meeting, although no vote will be taken.

On the council's regular agenda is a preliminary plat for a proposed housing addition on 12th Avenue SE, south of Cedar Lane Road.
