Man accused in thefts from cars
An 18-year-old man is in the Cleveland County jail on complaints of possessing items stolen from nine vehicles in east Norman.

Colton James Sutherland, of Norman was arrested Saturday on outstanding Norman and Cleveland County warrants, along with new complaints of concealing stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Six vehicles parked in the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Abe Martin Drive, two in the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Northcliff Avenue, and one in the 1500 block of High Trail Road were broken into Friday night or Saturday morning.

Two male juveniles, including one age 14, are also suspected in the vehicle burglaries, but no other arrests or citations were made over the weekend, police said. Norman police Capt. Leonard Judy said GPS systems, mobile telephones, backpacks, radar detectors and compact discs were among the items taken. Some items had been taken to a pawn shop, he said.
