Norman High School to host big band dinner, dance

The Norman High School Band Association will host a big band dinner/dance from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 26 at the high school conference center, 911 W Main St. Parking is available off Berry Road on the school's east side.

Proceeds will benefit the high school's music program. Tickets are $40 per person.

The Norman High Jazz Ensemble will provide music from the big band era, featuring the sounds of Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw and Count Basie.

Dinner will be provided by Abbey Road Catering, Local and Victoria's Pasta Shop.

The Norman High School Association supports the high school band program, providing supplemental funding that helps provide concert and marching band music, instruments, teaching assistants and world-class clinicians and performers.
