Book award winner to speak

Author Constance Squires, of Edmond, will discuss her debut novel “Along the Watchtower” in a special presentation for children ages 12 and older at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave. Squires is the 2012 winner of the Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction. Her novel looks at the challenges faced by a family during the closing years of the Cold War.

Authors to speak on paranormal

Authors Tara Hudson, Sharon Sala and Steven E. Wedel will present a panel discussion and writing workshop on the paranormal at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Norman Public Library. The panel discussion is targeted for teens, but is open to adults as well. The discussion is sponsored by the Pioneer Library System.
