Norman library will hold book sale

— Friends of the Norman Library's annual book sale is set for Friday through Monday at the library, 225 N Crawford Ave.

More than 50,000 books, DVDs, videotapes, audiotapes and CDs will be offered. A preview sale for members of the Friends of the Norman Library will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memberships can be purchased in the lobby, starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Annual memberships are $10 each and $25 for families.

The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 3 to 8 p.m. Monday.

On Monday, all the general sale books that can be stuffed into a paper sack will sell for $5. Sacks will be available. All books in the collectibles and better books rooms will be half-price on Monday.

The sale will include books in more than 60 categories, including popular fiction, classics, romance, biographies, foreign languages, history, gardening, cooking, business, science and sports.

Small paperbacks will sell for 50 cents; large paperbacks, hardbacks, videos, audiotapes, CDs and records will be $1. Sets and miscellaneous items will be priced as marked. Collectibles and better books will range in price generally from $2 to $5.
