Norman looks closely at new ozone standard
NORMAN — City officials are considering what they can do now to lessen the impact of a federal rule for ground-level ozone levels that takes effect in March.
Ground-level ozone is an air pollutant with harmful effects on the respiratory systems of people and animals. The new standard set by the Environmental Protection Agency is .075 parts per million. The previous standard was .08 parts per million.
