Norman mayor invites community to Walk ’n’ Talk for health

NORMAN — Norman Mayor Cindy Rosenthal is inviting residents to join her at 9 a.m. Saturday at the new Norman Regional HealthPlex, Tecumseh Road and Interstate 35, for her monthly community walk. The Walk ’n’ Talk with the Mayor series highlights different walking areas around Norman each month.

The walks are family-friendly, free and open to everyone. Walkers of all fitness levels are welcome.

The group will meet at the hospital’s main lobby.

"This is a great opportunity for people to find out what is going on in the community, ask the mayor questions, see the new state-of-the-art facility, and get some exercise in all while enjoying the nice fall weather,” said Lindy Beswick, Norman Regional’s coordinator of community health and wellness.
