Hospitals offer paper shredding
The Norman Regional Health System will offer free paper shredding Thursday in honor of America Recycles Day, a day dedicated nationally to promoting and celebrating recycling efforts.
Participants may bring papers for shredding between 8 a.m. and noon to the shredding truck in the south parking lot at Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N Porter Ave.
Trash carts for collection of papers marked for shredding also will be stationed at Moore Medical Center, 700 S Telephone Road, Moore, and Norman's westside Healthplex at Interstate 35 and Tecumseh Road.

Museum announces new board members
Five new members have been named to the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History's Board of Visitors.
The new members are Xavier Neira, director of business development for Manhattan Construction Group in Oklahoma City and the state director for Manhattan Construction Co.; Taylor Hanson, musician for the pop rock band The Hanson Brothers, now known as Hanson, and co-founder and chief executive officer of 3CG Records; Laura Ogle, vice president of The Kerr Foundation in Oklahoma City; Kevin Easley, a former state legislator and chief executive officer of New Dominion; and 2011 Oklahoman of the Year Mary Beth Babcock, owner of Dwelling Spaces in Tulsa.
