Apple pie workshop is set

Teenagers are invited to participate in an Apple Pie 101 workshop at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave. Participants will get to assemble an apple pie to take home for baking. The program is open to middle school and high school teens. The workshop is free, but registration is required. To register, call 701-2620 or go to

Toy donations are needed

The J.D. McCarty Center for children with developmental disabilities needs toy donations for its annual Christmas party sponsored by the 40 et 8 veterans group. Children 12 and younger are invited to visit Santa's workshop at the party and select a gift. The center is seeking individuals and groups interested in donating gifts. Gifts may be delivered between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the center, 2002 E Robinson St., through Dec. 13. For more information, call 307-2807.
