At tight end last year, Trey Wormington was one of Norman North's most effective blockers.
So this season, Wormington is moving down to tackle.
“We have high hopes for him there,” Timberwolves coach Wade Standley said. “He just has really good feet. He'll still play some at tight end still, but we needed a guy that could protect the pass rush on the blind side.”
Who the 6-foot-7 Wormington will be blocking for is yet to be seen.
Both Peyton Gavras and Channing Meyer saw time as the starting quarterback last year as juniors, and Standley said both were neck and neck following a Saturday intersquad scrimmage.
