NORMAN — A man who died shortly after calling police to say he had been shot has been identified as Nicholas Werner Williams, 20, of Norman.
Police Capt. Tom Easley said officers responding to a 911 call about 9:10 a.m. Saturday found Williams collapsed inside his apartment in the 2100 block of W Brooks Street. He died of a gunshot wound shortly after being taken to Norman Regional Hospital.
The case is being treated as a homicide, Easley said.
