Norman radar collects storm data

NORMAN — Researchers from the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman prepared to test a new mobile radar Friday as Hurricane Ike moved in on Texas .

The radar built by the laboratory and University of Oklahoma researchers is called the NO-XP.
