Parts of Lake Hefner Parkway were shut down Monday after a man was struck by a vehicle, police said.

The victim — identified only as a man between the ages of 50 and 60 — was taken to a nearby hospital and stabilized, Oklahoma City police Lt. Arthur Gregory said.

The accident was reported about 4 p.m. on northbound Lake Hefner Parkway between NW 50 and Northwest Expressway.

The driver fled the scene, but later was found and likely will be arrested on a complaint of leaving the scene of an injury accident, Gregory said.

No further information about the driver or the injured man was available Monday.
