Classes will resume Wednesday at Northridge Elementary, which was closed Tuesday because of a faulty air conditioner.

Putnam City Schools officials sent out a news release Tuesday afternoon stating the air conditioner had been repaired and the building was cooling down. Principal Randy Rader is arranging for phone calls to be made to Northridge families alerting them that school will be in session Wednesday.

Temperatures inside the building exceeded 90 degrees Monday night. School officials anticipated that it would be even hotter inside on Tuesday.
