Oklahoma City police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery Wednesday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

A man entered the IBC Bank, 2301 N Portland Ave., shortly after noon wearing a mask depicting an older white man. The man went into the restroom then came out to give a bank teller a note stating he had a gun and demanding money. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man put the money into a black briefcase. No weapon was shown during the incident, the FBI reported.

The man was seen entering a silver, four-door Honda Accord and driving west on NW 22. The man was described as being about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and of medium build, the FBI reported.

The robbery at the IBC Bank followed an incident earlier in the day where a man was seen about 11:30 a.m. entering the First Commercial Bank, 2523 N Classen Blvd., carrying a black briefcase while wearing the same mask and clothes. He went into the restroom then exited the bank, the FBI reported.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 from the Oklahoma Bankers Association for information leading to the identification, arrest and/or conviction of anyone robbing a member bank. has disabled the comments for this article.
