Not as hot Wednesday, but hotter days ahead in Oklahoma

Temperatures will be in the low 90s Wednesday in central Oklahoma. Heat returns for the Labor Day weekend

Temperatures will not be as hot Wednesday with a high in central Oklahoma of 92 degrees, the National Weather Service reports.

But more hot days are ahead. Temperatures will be in the mid-90s Thursday in central Oklahoma and climb to near 98 degrees Friday and near 99 Saturday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92. South, southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 72. South wind 5 to 8 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 96. South, southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 74. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph.

Friday: Sunny and hot with a high near 98. South wind 3 to 6 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Saturday: Sunny and hot with a high near 99.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73.

Sunday: Sunny and hot with a high near 98.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 96.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 94.
