Not ready for more liberal open-carry laws
While most people don't have a problem with gun ownership, there will always be those who want to take everything to an extreme. It's enough that we have Wyatt Earp wannabes running around the city with guns on their hips; now we have legislators who want to allow open carry on public transportation and other places where gun restrictions are in place for good reason. Yes, there are bad people out there. Yes, we do have a right to defend ourselves and our families. But we also have the responsibility to evolve past the times of our fathers and grandfathers. We're no longer living in the 1800s Tombstone or Dodge City. You can cowboy up without being an idiot. There's room for both.
