→1. Nebraska 1987-93: Just before Tom Osborne’s remarkable final four seasons, the Huskers were mired in a seven-bowl losing streak, including four Oranges, two Fiestas and a Citrus. One was a national-title game.
→2. Michigan 1969-78: Bo Schembechler lost his first seven bowls coaching the Wolverines, including five Roses and an Orange.
→3. Notre Dame 1995-07: The Fighting Irish lost nine straight bowls, under four coaches, including three Fiestas, one Orange and one Sugar. The streak ended last week with a 49-21 rout of Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl.
→4. Alabama 1967-74: Bear Bryant’s teams from 1967-74 went 0-7-1, tying only OU in the 1970 Bluebonnet. Bama’s losses included two Cottons, two Oranges and one Sugar. Two were national-title games.
→5. Arkansas 1986-98: Razorbacks lost seven straight bowls under four coaches, including an Orange and two Cottons.
