The Barons tied a franchise record with four power-play goals in a 6-5 overtime loss to Toronto on Tuesday afternoon at the Cox Convention Center. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Teemu Hartikainen, Taylor Hall and Mark Arcobello each had a power-play goal.

“They have an aggressive penalty kill, and we seemed to have success with it,” said Jordan Eberle, who had four assists. “We got four and easily could have gotten a couple of more. Every time we were out there we were dangerous.”

Oklahoma City was 4-of-7 with the man advantage.

ANOTHER SLOW START

The Barons never trailed heading into the third period of their first nine games, but the have dug early holes in three of their last four games, including a 4-0 deficit after one period Tuesday against Toronto.

“In morning games you never know how guys are going to react,” said coach Todd Nelson. “It's definitely a different situation. We have to at least be even after the first period. It's unnecessary for us to be in that situation.”
