Youth deer season opens Friday
Oklahoma’s youth deer gun season begins Friday and runs through Sunday statewide.

The season is open to hunters ages 17 and younger. All youth hunters must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.

The accompanying adult may deer hunt with a bow but not a gun, since archery season is open.

Youth hunters may claim one antlered and one antlerless deer during the three-day season, except the harvest of an antlerless mule deer is prohibited.

Unfilled youth deer gun licenses can be used in the regular deer gun season.
