Outdoors notebook: Ted Nugent to appear in Woodward

The Northwest Oklahoma Outdoor Expo is scheduled for next Friday through Sunday at the Woodward fairgrounds. The featured speaker will be American music legend and hunting icon Ted Nugent, who will appear on Saturday.

The expo will feature several hands-on exhibits, including archery, skeet shooting, fishing tanks, horseback trail riding and antler scoring.

Admission is $10 each day for adults or $20 for the weekend. Ages 12 and younger receive free admission.

Crappie fishermen to meet
The Oklahoma forum of Crappie.com will meet March 27at Camp Harbin at Arrowhead State Park.

Several guest speakers will discuss crappie fishing techniques. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. then breaks for a covered-dish lunch at 11:30. The meeting resumes at 1 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet set
The Oklahoma City Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will have its 20{+t}{+h} annual fund-raising banquet next Saturday night at the Clarion Meridian Hotel.

Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be a drawing for prizes and a live auction.
