J. Warren Mitchell will perform as part of the 31st Virginia Campbell Concert Series in Oklahoma.
From Staff Reports Published: January 12, 2014

The fourth installment of The 31st Virginia Campbell Concert Series is planned for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at All Souls' Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylvania.

The concert will feature J. Warren Mitchell, tenor opera singer.

Mitchell will perform pieces from Verdi, Strauss, Puccini and several other composers.

With a master's degree in choral conducting from Oklahoma City University, the up-and-coming tenor is finding his solo voice in a burgeoning singing career.

Mitchell came to realize an operatic career was on the horizon for him when he entered the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

He won the Young Singer Encouragement Award and made such an impression that he was invited to New York to sing for the executive director.

Tickets for the concert are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $10 for students.
