‘Nutcracker’ director puts art in motion in Oklahoma City
In a rehearsal space outfitted with a sprung floor and walls lined with mirrors, two dozen dancers are putting the finishing touches on the second act of "The Nutcracker.”
Sounds of ballet shoes striking the floor provide an odd counterpoint to Tchaikovsky ’s familiar score as dancers check the mirrors for correct placement of arms, legs and torsos.
