1984; U.S. Amateur; Scott Verplank

The hometown kid burst onto the scene with a dominant weekend that foreshadowed his NCAA individual title at Oklahoma State in 1986 and five career wins on the PGA Tour.

1988; PGA Championship; Jeff Sluman

Sluman came from nowhere to erase Paul Azinger’s three-stroke lead on Sunday and win his first tournament. Sluman went on to 17 more professional wins, including a total of six on the PGA Tour.

2006; Senior PGA Championship;

Jay Haas

Haas beat Brady Bryant on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff to earn his first of three major wins on the Champions Tour.

2014; U.S. Senior Open; ?

All three former champions return, along with the biggest names on the Champions Tour, for one more shot at Oak Tree glory.
