Oklahoma officials look for education funding options after SQ 744's defeat

Following the trouncing of an $830 million school funding measure Tuesday, Oklahoma's next top educator said schools need to make better use of existing funds.

Janet Barresi, the state's newly elected schools superintendent, said Thursday her first action upon taking office in January will be to request a full audit of the Education Department.
