OHP identifies victim of fatal crash Saturday near Stringtown

STRINGTOWN — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified Antonio Eduardo Lopez, 24, of Plano, Texas, as the pickup passenger killed Saturday afternoon in a crash north of Stringtown in Atoka County.

Jose Francisco Reyes Jr., 22, of Plano was driving the pickup northbound on U.S. 69 about 2:55 p.m. when he ran off the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree, troopers said. Lopez died at the scene and Reyes was flown to a Tulsa hospital.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
