Tuesday's livestock report from the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 3,700 Last Monday: 8,554 Year ago: 13,468

Compared to last week: Feeder cattle and calves not well tested, but limited sales sharply lower. This lower market due to the blizzard in western and northwestern Oklahoma that has brought all travel to that area to a shut down. This weather system is moving east and expected to cause travel problems across much of the state by late Monday. Due to these conditions all cattle will be sold Monday and there will be no sale on Tuesday. Thus far only about 30 head of cows and bulls are available on the yards, thus there is not enough to test the slaughter cow and bull market this week.
