During the first year, the church held several outreach events at various times, including Christmas, Easter and a Friends Day in July, Ivey said. He said the church partners with another ministry to feed about 100 needy children each week.
He said the church's immediate plans are to enlarge the building's vestibule, install a playground, basketball goal and parking lot.
Ivey said in addition to a meal and Cargill's sermon, he will give a special message regarding the church's vision for the future at Sunday's anniversary service.
