OKC attorney wanted for probation violation after positive alcohol test

John Thomas Hall, 66, pleaded guilty in November to driving under the influence and three other misdemeanor charges and received a 2-year deferred sentence, records show.

Hall's blood alcohol content was 0.22, Creek County prosecutors said.

Hall was on probation when he tested positive for alcohol use in Oklahoma County on Sept. 12 after prosecutors there complained that he came to court with alcohol on his breath. His probation required that he not drink alcohol.

Hall took a breath test at the request of prosecutors and tested positive for alcohol use, according to results obtained by The Oklahoman. Hall's breath contained at least 0.02 percent alcohol, but the test did not measure an exact level.

District Judge Glenn M. Jones said there was “insufficient evidence” to find Hall was under the influence of alcohol.

Creek County Assistant District Attorney Mike Loeffler said Monday he filed paperwork to revoke Hall's probation after reading about the Oklahoma County incident.

A warrant for Hall's arrest was issued Sept. 18. He was expected to surrender to authorities Tuesday, Loeffler said.

“His lawyer is supposed to be surrendering him forthwith,” Loeffler said. “I assume the lawyer will make good on his word — he always does.”

Hall's attorney, Michael Arnett, could not be reached for comment. Attempts to reach Hall also were unsuccessful.

Hall faces up to a year in jail for violating the terms of his probation.
