"The guys have figured out ways to keep charging ahead, moving forward, playing the next game,” Brooks said. "That’s the message I give our guys: learn from our last game, move on, show improvement each week.”
Keys to consistently making the playoffs, and earning a high seed, is winning on the road, consistently beating teams with losing records and avoiding long losing streaks.
"That’s what the elite teams do,” Brooks said. "That’s what we want to become one day. In order to do that you have to put yourself in position to play close games, somehow find a way to win close games.
"Even the great teams go through tough stretches as a team during the season, over their careers. We just focus on working hard every day and learning from our experiences. We keep taking further steps.”
