“That's the way it goes sometimes,” Arcobello said. “Sometimes everything you shoot goes in. Sometimes you get 10 shots and not score. I've been getting in the right areas and finishing my chances.”

The Edmonton Oilers assigned center Travis Ewanyk and defensemen Martin Gernat and David Musil from the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League to Oklahoma City.

Musil was Edmonton's second round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. Ewaynk, 19, was Edmonton's third round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. Gernat, also 19, has played in 83 games with the Oil Kings the past two seasons.

It's doubtful the three young players will play in the series but the Oilers want to give them a taste of the AHL since they could be in the mix next season to play in Oklahoma City.

The Barons outshot the Stars 31-30. That's the first time in the series they've outshot Texas. ... Barons general manager Bill Scott's wife, Amy, gave birth to the couple's first child on Sunday, a daughter named Ava. ... The Barons killed off all five penalties. ... Games 4 and 5 are Wednesday night and Thursday night at the Cox Convention Center.
