Promotions: Fridays are $1 hot dogs, $2 beers; Saturday, the first 2,000 fans receive a hockey stick; Saturday, one fan will win a Chevrolet Equinox.

Scouting report: Coming off a 4-0 road trip, the Barons are riding a season-best five-game winning streak. ... The teams split two games in Lake Erie around Thanksgiving. ... Barons all-time leading scorer Mark Arcobello has scored seven points in three games since being sent down by the Edmonton Oilers, but he is ineligible to play with the Barons during the Olympic break because he spent the bulk of the season in the NHL. ... Team captain Anton Lander (34 points in 31 games) leads the Barons in scoring. Goalie Richard Bachman (13-12-3, 3.07 goals against average, .909 saves percentage) has won his last five starts. ... Lake Erie, the Colorado Avalanche's Triple-A affiliate, is led by Andrew Agozzino (31 points). The Monsters' top goalie is Calvin Pickard (11-13-5, 3.00 GAA, .898 saves percentage).
