OKC Barons: Barons lose exhibition game to Texas in overtime

Oklahoma City blows 2-1 lead in the third period. Mike Hedden scores 58 seconds into overtime for the Stars.

CEDAR PARK, Texas — Mike Hedden scored 58 seconds into overtime Friday night, and the Texas Stars trimmed the Oklahoma City Barons 3-2 in an American Hockey League exhibition game at the Cedar Park Center.

Hedden's goal ricocheted past Barons netminder Tyler Bunz, who split time in net with Olivier Roy.

Oklahoma City led 2-1 heading into the third period, getting goals from Joel Broda and Martin Gernat. The Stars tied it with 8:25 left in regulation on a Taylor Peters shot.

The Barons will play the San Antonio Rampage at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar Park Center.
