The Oklahoma City/Edmonton shuttle continued Friday when the Oilers recalled 23-year-old defenseman Philip Larsen after sending defensemen Corey Potter and Denis Grebeshkov to OKC on Thursday.

The past two weeks, the Oilers have recalled eight players — team captain Anton Lander (twice), Bachman, left winger Ben Eager, right winger Tyler Pitlick and left winger Ryan Jones, plus defensemen Taylor Fedun, Grebeshkov and Potter, who have returned to the Barons.

Edmonton's injuries have had a trickle-down effect on Oklahoma City's roster. For Friday's game, the Barons had only one healthy scratch (defenseman Brad Hunt). ... The Barons were shut out for the second time this season, the other a 1-0 loss at Iowa. ... As part of the “Drive Away Every Saturday” promotion, the Barons will give away a new Hyundai Elantra at Saturday's 7 p.m. home game against Chicago.
