CEDAR PARK, Texas — Colton Sceviour scored two goals, and goaltender Jack Campbell stopped 25 shots as the Texas Stars beat the Oklahoma City Barons 4-1 in an American Hockey League game Wednesday night at the Cedar Park Center.

A crowd of 4,488 watched the Stars nurse a 1-0 lead for a period and a half before Brett Ritchie scored his first goal of the season, giving Texas a 2-0 lead. Sceviour added his seventh goal of the season five minutes later.

The Barons' Matthew Ford cut the gap to 3-1 with 10:47 left in the game, drawing assists from C.J. Stretch and Taylor Fedun. Oklahoma City coach Todd Nelson pulled goaltender Richard Bachman with 1:50 remaining for an extra attacker, but Texas added a meaningless empty net goal from Travis Morin with 28 seconds left.

Bachman made 35 saves for Oklahoma City, which fell to 3-4-1. Texas improved its first-place record to 5-1-1.

Oklahoma City next plays 7:30 p.m. Friday at San Antonio.
