The San Antonio Rampage edged the Oklahoma City Barons 3-2 in a shootout on Saturday night in San Antonio.
The Rampage's Vincent Trocheck scored a power-play goal at 12:12 of the third period to tie the game at 2. Neither team scored the rest of the way or in the overtime, forcing the shootout.
Jon Matsumoto and Jared Gomes scored for the Rampage in the shootout, while Ryan Hamilton was the only Baron to score.
Barons goaltender Tyler Bunz made his first career AHL start after Olivier Roy was traded to the Calgary Flames organization. Bunz made 34 saves, but the Barons fell to 5-6-0-2 on the season.
The Barons' Denis Grebeshkov scored his first goal of the season, and Derek Nesbitt also scored for OKC.
The Barons and Rampage play again at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday the annual Kids Education Day game at the Cox Center.
