*Regular season series: The Barons and the Marlies, the Toronto Maple Leafs' farm club, split a two-game series. Oklahoma City beat Toronto in November at the Cox Center. The Marlies shut out OKC in January at Toronto.

*Scouting report: Mark Arcobello leads the Barons with 11 points in the postseason (four goals, seven assists). ... Jerry D'Amigo leads the Marlies with nine playoff points (six goals, three assists). ... Neither team has lost a road playoff game this season. ... Chris VandeVelde and Ryan Keller have scored two game-winning goals each for the Barons. D'Amigo and Matt Frattin have done the same for the Marlies. ... Toronto goaltender Ben Scrivens has allowed two or fewer goals in his last six games. Scrivens had a 2.04 GAA in the regular season. ... Barons goaltender Yann Danis had a 2.07 GAA during the season and a 2.02 GAA in the playoffs. ... The first 2,000 fans will receive a Barons playoff T-shirt. ... Game 2 of the series is 7 p.m. Friday at the Cox Center. ... St. John's (Winnipeg Jets farm team) and Norfolk (Tampa Bay Lightning) begin their Eastern Conference final series Thursday in Norfolk, Va. ... Three of the four remaining AHL teams are affiliated with Canadian NHL clubs, with Norfolk the lone exception. None of the parent clubs of the four remaining teams qualified for the playoffs.
