CEDAR PARK, Texas — Mark Arcobello made an immediate impact to the Oklahoma City Barons' oft-struggling forward end Sunday afternoon.

Arcobello, playing in his first American Hockey League game of the season, had a goal and two assists as Oklahoma City bounced the Texas Stars 7-4 before 3,916 fans at Cedar Park Center. Arcobello was sent to the Barons by the parent Edmonton Oilers on Saturday; he had four goals and 18 points in 41 games this season for the Oilers but had not played for the NHL team since Jan. 24.

For as long as he remains with Oklahoma City, the one-time AHL All-Star will give the Barons offense a boost. He is the franchise's all-time leader in goals and assists, helping the Barons to three consecutive playoff appearances, including the Western Conference finals the last two seasons.

On Sunday, he helped give Oklahoma City a 1-0 lead in the first period by drawing an assist on Ryan Hamilton's seventh goal of the season. The Barons and Stars traded goals throughout the first and most of the second periods. But Oklahoma City took the lead for good with 9:09 left in the middle period, when Arcobello assisted on Roman Horak's 11th goal of the year.

Arcobello added an unassisted goal with 8:35 left in the game. Austin Fyten, Matthew Ford, Will Acton and Brad Hunt also scored goals for Oklahoma City, which won its second straight game and improved to 18-22-6.

Goaltender Richard Bachman made 41 saves for the Barons.

Texas (28-14-5) will host the Barons again on Tuesday night. Faceoff is 7:30.
