OKC Barons notebook: Barons look sharp after layoff for All-Star break
With Thursday night's shutout, the Barons' Yann Danis moved into second place in shutouts in the American Hockey League behind Peoria's Ben Bishop.
Oklahoma City head coach Todd Nelson wasn't sure what to expect from his team after the four-day layoff because of the All-Star break. Thursday morning was the first time the teams had been together since Saturday's 3-1 win over Texas.

“We had a pregame skate this morning, and I thought our guys executed very well and that kind of put my mind at ease a bit,” Nelson said.
Tremblay continues solid work
Nelson was praising Hunter Tremblay's play after Thursday night's win.
“For a guy that doesn't play power play time, he is finding a way to score goals,” Nelson said. “Maybe we ought to put him out there for the power play and maybe he will generate some more offense for us. He has been very good all year, a very smart player. I can rely on him in every situation.”
